Initial situation

With around 40 employees, the "Technology" department within the Operations division at Winterthur Cantonal Hospital offers a very well established service for the entire Winterthur Cantonal Hospital. In addition to a technical office and workshops, this department is also responsible for electrical engineering, HVAC / building services, gardening and medical technology. To ensure that the "technology" is prepared for the future and that future requirements can be met, the area is to be developed further

Procedure

The strategic direction for "Technology" was defined, the understanding of roles was sharpened, processes were optimised and services were further developed. Finally, measures for optimising the division were defined.
