Initial situation
The Familienheim-Genossenschaft Zürich (FGZ) is an almost 100-year-old housing cooperative from the Friesenberg neighbourhood in Zurich. It builds and rents affordable housing to 5,700 people of all generations. FGZ owns 25 housing estates with almost 2,300 residential properties, 860 of which are terraced single-family homes.
FGZ has decided to anchor sustainability as a guiding principle in its actions and decisions and has developed a strategy to this end. It aims to provide affordable living space in environmentally friendly buildings for a diverse community. Sustainability is viewed holistically and encompasses ecological, social and economic aspects.
pom+ supported FGZ in the development of the sustainability report. It records the most important initiatives, successes and challenges in relation to environmental protection, social responsibility and economic sustainability.
Procedure and solution
When designing the structure of the sustainability report and the factsheets, the necessary content and chapters were defined, including data, graphics, tables and texts. The key figures were derived from the strategy.
After the data collection by FGZ, pom+ took over the quality check, data preparation and plausibility check as well as the calculation of the CO2 key figures for the heat data.
